Provisioning POLYCOM Phones

  1. How to find out the ip of the phone?

  

           Press Menu then go to Status then go to Network then go to TCP/IP                     Parameters

 

  1. How to access the phone through web?

         Using the Ip Address found from the phone, open a browser on a computer            which is on the same network as the phone is. Type in the Ip Address on the          web address bar. If asked for a password, choose admin and enter the                  default  “456” as password.

 

 

 

  1. How to put our provisioning url into the phone?

       

        First go to Settings, second go to Provisioning Server on the left panel.

        Third, go to Server Type and make sure it is on HTTP. and Lastly type in the

        Server URL "phone.fibrehub.com" then click Save.

         

 

4.  Manual Provisioning

 

   Log in to the Web Interface then click on Settings on the top Menu

   then click on Lines.

 

   

 

The information needed : Domain, User ID and Password will be provided

             The Display Name and Label are for client's reference only and will not                  affect registration.

 

 

 

 

5. How to Factory Reset the phone.

           

       Resetting of the phone is done from the phone itself. Here are the instructions

 

 

6. How to transfer calls.

 

       1 From Active Call, Lines, or Calls view, tap Transfer. The active call is held.

       2 From the Dialer, place a call to the party you want to transfer the call to.

       3 When you hear the ring-back sound, tap Transfer to complete the transfer.        Or, if you want to talk with the person before the transfer completes, you can        connect with the person, and then tap Transfer.

 

       To cancel the transfer before the call connects, tap Cancel. 


       To perform a blind transfer:

       1 From Active Call, Lines, or Calls view, tap Transfer. The active call is held.

        2 From the Dialer, tap Blind, and place a call to the party you want to                   transfer the call to. If you don’t see Blind, tap More (at the top of the                   screen), and tap Blind.
       The call automatically transfers to the party you specified. 

 

7. How to change time and date

 

       On the Web Interface click on Preferences.

 

       This page contains the settings you can customize including Time, Language,          Ringtones and other audio settings as well as you phones' background image.
